We are looking for two EXCEL GURU’s for a temporary project at our client Amsterdam. Duration 1 month, possibly 2. 

You will report directly to the Project Lead who is well experienced in developments of Microsoft (Excel) solutions 

Key Objectives:

  • You will be a part of a team that develops and delivers the template for the first roll-out cycles.
  • While your colleagues will define the right KPIs, layout, data to be gathered, your responsibility would be in building and automating the solution.
  • The solution will consist of:
  • Automatically create pre-filled Excel-based files (input templates) based on the master data identifying layout and structure of the file
  • Automatically export the information from the templates received from the end users into a central database
  • Automatically create pre-filled Excel-based templates for the business review cycles
  • Automatically export the information from the updated Excel-based templates after the business review cycles
  • All Excel files will be very modular. Number of tabs, tables and the content will 100% depend on the Masterdata for this file. You have to develop a process that will automatically generate 500+ different files in one go including all necessary functionality of the files.
  • As part of the implementation, robust testing and validating process has to be created
  • The whole solution will be Microsoft based including Outlook, Excel, SQL. A seamless integration between all this components is a must.
  • All Excel files should be able configurable in such a way that all versions from all over the world (different settings) and Microsoft Office versions will function in the same way.
  • An expert in Microsoft solutions with a proven experience of at least 10 years
  • A Guru in Microsoft Excel, with a demonstrable experience of at least 8 years
  • There are no secrets in Excel for you, you know all versions and can develop a solution that will work for multiple versions of Microsoft Excel in one go
  • HBO or University degree
  • You can talk to business people in the language they can understand
  • You can overview the overall picture of the solution and know at every moment to which part of the solution you contribute today when developing VBA code / solution
  • We expect from you a proactive mindset, indicating pros and cons of the possible solution directions
  • You should be sound to say no in case you think the suggested direction is not good
  • Thinking two steps ahead when building the solution such that the solution is first time right
  • CAN DO mentality (thinking in possibilities and solutions)
  • Say what you will do, do what you have said, say you have done this
  • You should be able to work under project delivery time pressure
  • Soft skills are equally important as technical skills

This is a temporary assignment for 1 month, possibly 2 months in Amsterdam. Independent contractors are welcome to apply. Rate negotiable.
