Over het bedrijf
Subsea Cables & Flexibles, a Business Unit of Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V., specializes in subsea power cable installation for offshore wind farms, Balance of Plant maintenance for the renewables market, and umbilical/flowline installation for the oil & gas markets and installation of interconnectors. The submarine power cables, which Boskalis installs, have to be buried for protection against human and environmental impacts such as anchors, fishing, currents and scour. To ensure the required protection, Boskalis buries these cables several meters below the seabed in various types of soil and rock. Boskalis uses various remotely operated subsea trenching machines to bury these submarine cables. In order to own and operate such an equipment pool in an efficient and cost-effective manner, a planned maintenance system is introduced. In this system, all maintenance related activities are managed and registered. The system is filled with maintenance activities/jobs based on manuals and/or instructions from suppliers and subcontractors.

The assignment can be done as part of an internship or holiday job. You will be supported at Boskalis by a group of operations coordinators, Equipment/maintenance engineers and superintendents. The assignment can also be a step towards a graduation thesis within Boskalis.
